HISTORY OF FRISCO RIDGE

The first thing you will notice about Frisco Ridge is the names of the streets – they are all railroad centric: Branch Line, Hobo, Derail, Caboose, Side Track, etc. And occasionally you will hear the train whistle in the distance as it travels through Yukon.

In 2005, the original developers of Frisco Ridge, Tim Smith and Butch Curry (under the business name of Lone Oak LLC), began working to create a new subdivision just outside of town and worked hard to make it a reality. Rick Opitz became the developer a few years later.

Several Oklahoma builders have built homes in Frisco Ridge. Phase I builders included Tim Smith, Montgomery Homes, Ron Walters Homes, Greg Smith Homes, Turner & Son, and D.R. Horton. Phase II and III homes were built by Homes by Taber, completed in 2021.
